It was a very emotional night at this year's CMT Artists of The Year Awards special on Wednesday (October 16th). During the show Kane Brown broke down in tears while dedicating his award to his late drummer Kenny Dixon who recently died in a car crash.

Kane said “Thank you all so much. I want to dedicate this to our drummer Kenny. He started with me coming out of Chattanooga off Facebook, people didn’t think we would make it, he was with me the whole time. He was so supportive of me. And I love you man, I miss you. The band misses you."

Later on, in the program while accepting his award Thomas Rhett asked for the entire audience to say a prayer for Kane Brown, Kenny Dixon and their friends and family.
