Rapper Vanilla Ice to visit Wright-Patterson

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE — Vanilla Ice, the rap entertainer, plans to visit the base’s fire station and chat with airmen Friday afternoon, Aug. 7.

Vanilla Ice said he wanted to visit Wright-Patterson Air Force Base to thank base personnel for their service to the country, according to a statement from the base’s public affairs office Thursday. The visit is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Friday.

Col. Brad Spacy, commander of the 88th Air Base Wing at Wright-Patterson, is to accompany Vanilla Ice during his visit.

The entertainer is scheduled to perform in Cincinnati on Saturday night at the Riverstar Entertainment Complex.
