Melt Bar & Grilled is hoping to make summer a little hotter and cheesier for Daytonians.

The Cleveland-based gourmet grilled cheese restaurant announced their special sandwiches for August — Up in Smoke, made with boneless slow-roasted pork ribs, hickory smokehouse BBQ sauce, creamy crunchy slaw, spicy garlic pickles, BBQ kettle chips and smoked gouda, and Firecracker Chicken, combining hot and spicy diablo fried chicken, sweet grilled pineapple, cool fresh avocado, and pepper-jack cheese.

Each month, Melt tries to step up its game with a special gourmet grilled cheese creation. This month, fans have two instead of one to try.

You can find all the Dayton-area Melt locations on the website here.

The spice only begins there, though, as the restaurant invites customers to try one of its most popular items right now — Kung Pow Wings, fresh double fried and extra crispy chicken wings or crispy tofu “wings.”

A special summertime side available right now is Kung Pow Broccoli, a veggie version of the wings with a kick.

“Leave room for dessert, the delicious Campfire S’mores Bread Pudding, homemade chocolate bread pudding smothered with a sweet marshmallow glaze, then topped with vanilla ice cream, real whipped cream, powdered sugar, and crumbled graham crackers,” raved a Melt press release.
