On Sunday, Dec. 31, starting at 8 p.m., Austin Landing will host the biggest NYE bash in the area, featuring live music from popular local band Stranger, a free champagne toast for of-age guests, party favors, a graffiti wall, and a pink balloon release. At midnight, the ball will drop, tipping off the best NYE fireworks display in Dayton.
More importantly, this family-friendly event also is a fundraiser for the Pink Ribbon Girls, the only organization in town that provides free direct service support and education to those suffering from breast and other women's reproductive cancers.
Since the winter has been pretty cold so far, you'll want to attend this one as a VIP. Your VIP ticket provides you with access to an enclosed, heated tent, where you can stay toasty all night. Tickets include admission, a private bar, party favors, a catered dinner and a drink ticket.
Partial tent areas will be available for general admission attendees, but you’ll definitely want to dress for the weather. Because of the large anticipated attendance who will need plenty of room for dancing, chairs, backpacks, and coolers are not permitted at this event.
Ticket information:
- General admission: $15 online, $20 at the door
- VIP tickets: $60 (while they last)
Available for purchase:
- Delicious food from Austin Landing vendors
- Full bar and assorted beer and wine
- Non-alcoholic beverages
All proceeds from ticket and beverage sales will go to the Pink Ribbon Girls.
PRG truly lends a helping hand
“There are a lot of outstanding organizations in existence that raise awareness for breast and reproductive cancers, but we are the only ones out there to actually provide direct service to cancer patients and their families,” explained Sarah Gillenwater, director of marketing for Pink Ribbon Girls. “Our mindset is that everyone says, ‘Let me know what I can do to help,’ but we’re the ones actually doing it.”
Thanks to funds donated by individuals, corporate sponsors, Pink Truck sponsors, amazing third-party events, and fundraisers like the New Year’s Eve event at Austin Landing, Pink Ribbon Girls is able to provide healthy meals, housecleaning and transportation to patients and their families.
While focused on becoming the hub of fun and entertainment for all ages, Austin Landing takes great pride in giving back to the community, donating proceeds from every event hosted on-site to charities around the Dayton area. Last year’s NYE event raised $30,000, with 100% of the proceeds from ticket and alcohol sales going to PRG.
