1. Baum Opera House. Built in 1884, the opera house hosts theater productions, teas, weddings and wedding receptions, Christmas parties, musical events and other community activities. 2. Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop. Located at 42 S. Main St., the shop has a vintage feel as well as wide selection of candy and old fashioned glass sodas. 3. The Plaza Theatre. Originally opened on Dec. 25, 1919, the Plaza site was dormant for decades before reopening on Christmas Day 2015, featuring classic films dating back to the 1930s in an intimate, nostalgic setting on weekends. The theatre at 33 S. Main St. is also available to rent for special occasions or business functions. Phone: (937) 247-5980.

4. Star City Brewing. One of two breweries in downtown Miamisburg, Star City is a craft micro-brewery located at the historic Peerless Mill Inn. Opened at 318 S. Second St. in 2013, it allows craft beer enthusiasts to enjoy a casual atmosphere that includes wood beams and several stone fireplaces. Phone: (937) 701-7827.

5. The Watermark. Formerly Nibbles, the restaurant reopened this year under a new name and a new location at 20 S. First St. The eatery features local ingredients and a rotating menu. Larger than the former location, the rustic setting seats up to about 75 diners. It also has a private party room for 40. Phone: (937) 802-0891.
