“With all of the great things going on downtown, it’s been wonderful to also see the communities flourishing in the neighboring historic districts,” Briana Snyder, Trash ‘N Treasure organizer, said in a press release to this news organization. “With the Garden Tour, Porch Fest and the Dickens of a Christmas tour, Trash ‘N Treasure is another great opportunity to come and experience the St. Anne’s Hill neighborhood while also finding some incredible deals!”

On Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., over 50 vendors will host house, porch and garage sales, speaking true to the saying “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” In addition to the community sales, special vendors and neighborhood businesses will be participating.

“An annual event, there are vendors that have become really sought after, like the family that does homemade tamales each time,” Snyder said. “We’re also really excited to have the involvement of the new businesses popping up along and off of our stretch of Fifth Street.”

Organizers have put together an interactive map displaying sales, vendors and other useful information. The map and sales descriptions will be shared online once available — so check back for those details. Across the way, the Huffman neighborhood will be hosting a community garage sale at the same time.
