Love over Dayton
One of the most romantic spots in Dayton is in one of its most hallowed spaces.
Debra Mescher, Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum's office manager, said the cemetery's Lookout Point, which is the highest elevation in Dayton overlooking the city, is a popular spot for lovers and friends in the warmer months. She said it is great year-round for those looking for a little peace and quiet.
Highs are expected to be in the 30s this weekend which is warm enough for a brief daytime visit to check out Dayton’s skyline and the cemetery’s other grounds with a Thermos of hot chocolate.
The cemetery is located at 118 Woodland Ave. in Dayton. Gates open at 8 p.m. and close at 6 p.m. this season.
