Carriage Inn of Dayton, 5040 Philadelphia Drive in Dayton, is hosting a Say Yes to the Homecoming Dress event Saturday, Sept. 28 from noon until 2 p.m.
The shopping experience is open to any current high school or middle school students in need of a dress, shoes, jewelry and accessories to help defer the cost of school proms, homecomings and dances. There are no financial need requirements.
Lia Price, the admissions and marketing director at Carriage Inn of Dayton, said she organized a prom dress giveaway event after the Memorial Day tornadoes because she knew families would be struggling financially. “I thought it would be a good way of giving back,” she said. The giveaway was so successful she decided to to it again.
Price will have 60 dresses in all sizes at the giveaway. Some are gently used and others she purchased new from Macy’s.
There is a limit of one dress per person while supplies last. She will also accept gently used dresses at Carriage Inn of Dayton for the giveaway.
