What to do, what to see at the Miami County Fair

Fair season is well underway, and the next county to host its food-and-fun-filled celebration is Miami. That county's fair will be held Aug. 10-16.

DRAG RACING

On Friday, Aug. 10, KOI Drag Racing ins coming to the Miami County Fair. There will be multiple classes at this race. Practice will start at 5 p.m. and eliminations will start at 7 p.m.

CONCERTS

On each day of the event, fair goers can enjoy live music. Bands including Triple Nickle Band, Eric Jerardi Band and Rum River Band will play. On Sunday, Aug. 12, the fair will host Gospel Fest at 1 p.m. in the Entertainment Tent.

On Sunday night, McGuffey Lane, with special guest ReFlektion, will perform in the stadium at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5.

ENTERTAINMENT
There will be plenty of fun to be had with the fair's rides and games. Patrons can purchase ride tickets, or bracelets (best bang for your buck!) to use to get on the rides. There also will be a demolition derby, tractor pulls, harness racing, and the chance to win a mystery goat box - we're intrigued.

ARTS & CRAFTS

Local makers will display their best quilts, cookies, Legos and more for a chance to win a prized blue ribbon.
