Experience new & treasured traditions at Butler County Fair this week

All county fairs share a great deal in common as far as food and entertainment, but here are the unique features you can expect at this year’s Butler County Fair.

>> Fair attendance is up this season

BUTLER COUNTY FAIR

The Butler County Fair’s evening entertainment includes a rodeo, a demolition derby, and three kinds of tractor pulls (garden, antique, and semi).

Traditional favorites

The major draws at the Butler County Fair are the demolition derby and the tractor pulls — causing the fair parking lot to overflow, forcing folks to park at Hamilton schools — and Triple Treat Shows, the family-owned, Cincinnati-based carnival company that provides the rides.

New at the fair

Broken Horn Rodeo, a family-owned rodeo company based in Ripley, Ohio, is providing the bull-riding and roping fun at the Butler County Fair for the first time. This is also the second year for the Cincinnati Circus, a full-service, Cincinnati-based circus entertainment company that does over 150 acts, from daredevil stunts to comedy and hypnosis.

Special deals

Wednesday, July 25, is both Senior and Veterans Day, where seniors and military veterans receive free admission. Sunday is Farm Bureau Day, where member farmers receive free admission.
