At the 92nd Academy Awards on Sunday, Yellow Springs residents Julia Reichert and Steve Bognar brought home an Oscar for their work on “American Factory,” a documentary about the creation of the Chinese-owned Fuyao Glass America factory housed in the same building as the old General Motors assembly plant in Moraine.

All across Dayton and Yellow Springs, crowds gathered on Sunday night to cheer on their fellow Daytonians.

At The Neon, an independent movie theater in downtown Dayton, owner Jonathan McNeal led the crowd gathered for the annual Oscars viewing party into loud cheers for the directors.

And now, to keep the celebration going, The Neon and Little Art Theaters are set to host additional screenings of the film this weekend.
