Dayton freshman Antetokounmpo experiencing NBA All-Star Weekend

Kostas’ brother Giannis starting for East team

Dayton Flyers freshman forward Kostas Antetokounmpo attended NBA All-Star Game festivities in New Orleans on Saturday with his family in support of brother Giannis, the Milwaukee Bucks star who will start Sunday for the East team.

Antetokoumpo is practicing with the Flyers but sitting out the season as a NCAA partial qualifier. He missed the 76-72 victory Saturday against St. Bonaventure at UD Arena so he could be with his brother and his family.

The Antetokounmpo brothers — Giannis, Thanasis, Kostas and Alex — watched the slam-dunk and 3-point contests together Saturday night. They even posed for a photo with Grammy winner Chance the Rapper.

Their parents, Charles and Veronica, are also in New Orleans. Giannis is a first-time all-star. He's averaging 23.4 points, 8.6 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game.
