Supplies needed
Items I purchased:
• 3 bags of flat-bottom glass rocks — $1 each at Dollar Tree
Items I already had:
• E6000 Industrial Strength Glue
• Blank CD
• Flameless tealight candle
Directions
1. Place the blank CD upside down on the table. Arrange your first layer of rocks down so that they cover the outside edge of the CD. Once happy with your layout, glue the rocks to the CD.
2. For the next layer, apply glue to each rock. You will want to arrange them so that the center of the rock lies between the two rocks below, sort of like a brick pattern.
3. Continue to do this until you are out of rocks or until you are happy with the how tall it is. You may have to let the rocks dry after a few layers so they don’t start sliding around too much.
4. Once dry, your candle holder is ready to use.
Tip
A word of caution: Read the label on the adhesive you choose to use. The E6000 glue I used does not do well with a lot of heat. Because of this, I chose to use a flameless candle with it. Your adhesive may be different, so be cautious about whether or not you should have a real or flameless candle.
