Mixed Nut Bars

1½ cups flour

¾ cup brown sugar

½ cup butter

1/8 teaspoon salt

Mix together and pat into 9-inch-by-13-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

2 cups mixed nuts

Spread over baked mixture.

2/3 cup white syrup

1¼ cup butterscotch chips

2 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon water

Melt these four ingredients together over low heat. Pour over nuts. Return to oven and bake 10 minutes. Do not over bake. Cut and store in refrigerator.
