The kids are back in school and what better time for adults to learn something new. Washington-Centerville Public Library declares this month TechTember: a month dedicated to helping citizens grow their comfort with technology.

Here are just a few of the opportunities available at the Washington-Centerville Public Library to brush up on those tech skills:

Attend tech classes. Free tech classes are offered year-round at the Library. In September, there are 20 different classes from which to choose. Learn more about a MS Excel, social media or simply how to use your tablet. Register online or visit the library. Classes fill quickly.

Research something. Looking for insider tips on investing, or simply want to find reviews for a new dishwasher? The Washington-Centerville Public Library offers access to more than 50 online databases to assist you in your school, business or personal research. Resources such as Standard & Poor's Net Advantage, Consumer Reports and Gale Virtual Reference Library offer library cardholders free access to content that would otherwise require a paid subscription. Or browse our Research Guides for help finding resources on a specific subject. Need help? Ask a librarian.

Download a book, magazine or song. There are thousands of free eBooks, eAudios, eZines and eMusic options awaiting you in our eCollection. Not sure how to download a title to your device? Simply visit the library or engage us in LiveChat and we'll walk you through the process. Or you if you don't have a device, you can checkout an eReader with eBooks preloaded.
