The Warren County Health District announced a second confirmed positive coronavirus, or COVID-19, case in Warren County on Friday.

“The patient is a female in her 50s. She is currently in isolation at home. Out of respect for the patient’s privacy, no additional identifying information will be released,” according to the statement.

“Warren County Health District (WCHD) will monitor the patient during her isolation. We will be in daily contact with her and as needed with our partners at the Ohio Department of Health. We are taking every precaution to stop the spread of this virus,” said the statement, virtually identical to one issued Thursday after the county’s first confirmed case.

As in the other case, the district is identifying close contacts of this confirmed case, all of whom will be advised to self-quarantine. “Close contacts may include family members, co-workers, medical providers, and others,” according to the statement.
