From the front entry with etched-glass double doors to the last inch of closet space on the lower level, this soft contemporary home has been custom designed for aesthetic values and maximum functionality.

“Because it’s soft contemporary, you could make it cozy or really sleek,” agent/owner Robin Schock said.

Designed and built in 2005 by J&E Custom Homes, this home offers more than 7,690 square feet of living space on three levels.

The cul-de-sac lot with many trees includes an outdoor recreation area in the back under a covered lanai near the swimming pool with a built-in table, slide and waterfall.

This home is listed for $1,285,000.

The stucco façade features extended bay areas and an arched front porch leading into the dramatic entry, which is accented by 20-inch ceramic tile flooring and oversized sidelights and transoms.

“I like the openness, the wide staircase and the wide hallways,” Schock said.

Rounded columns support a framework accented with earth-toned globes at the entrance to the open dining room, which sits under a backlighted and tiered tray ceiling. Granite inlay makes a border in the flooring. An end wall features a faux-painted/foil backdrop within an art alcove.

Double doors open to a study/library with built-in bookshelves in a semi-circular wall. Double moldings trim the tray ceiling.

Rising two stories above the open great room, the ceiling holds a propeller-styled fan. The gas fireplace is flanked by built-ins and mirrored walls.

A circular wall of windows and transoms overlooks the free-form pool, which is accented by a stamped concrete walkaround and mounded flowerbeds with multiple Austrian pines, grasses and ground cover.

“The pool has a salt water generator so we don’t have to use chemicals,” Schock said.

Inside the open gathering space between great room and family room is a central, sunken wet bar with seating.

“The idea is to be able to sit and watch TV from here,” Schock said.

“This is probably the most used area of the home along with the kitchen and the family room. We added the family room with a lower ceiling for a more cozy feeling,” she said.

The family room built-in entertainment center features columns, arches and incorporates another gas fireplace.

A circular breakfast bar surrounds the entry to the open kitchen, where custom cabinets are integrated with stainless steel appliances. The center island holds an additional sink with its own disposal. Cabinets and counters round the back wall and incorporate a five-burner gas range under a granite backsplash.

Near the entrance door to the pool is a bath/change room with designer fixtures and a granite counter.

Features in the main bedroom suite include a wall of windows, a raised, recessed fireplace and a backlighted tray ceiling.

Double doors open to the spacious bath with a long granite vanity, an oversized shower with a tower of water-heads, and a whirlpool tub set in a three-window bay.

A bidet is installed in a separate room.

The larger of two walk-in closets has an upper glass-block window.

The bonus room on the mezzanine level has a closet and storage areas.

On the upper level, the central loft area has a built-in desk. Each of the three bedrooms on this level has its own private bath and walk-in closet.

Finishing on the lower level matches that of the main levels. A sunken wet bar similar to that on the upper level is flanked by recreation areas for game tables and the sitting area, where the gas fireplace is integrated with a built-in entertainment center. A circular wall holds aboveground windows facing the pool.

Etched-glass doors enclose a media room with a backlighted tray ceiling, a built-in screen and an overhead projector.

An extra room with a closet is placed near the full bath, which has an oversized shower and a granite vanity.

One of two more storage areas could be used as a tornado room.

“We incorporated storage areas wherever we could,” Schock said.

Schock added that some items in the home are negotiable.
