How to use your coupons at Cub Foods

Couponers can get 2 Sunday papers for $3

Every Sunday, couponers can get a head start on savings with a special new package from the Dayton Daily News. Sunday Double Deals is two Sunday newspapers bundled together for $3 — two newspapers plus all of the inserts. It will be available every week in limited quantities at select locations, including Dayton-area Kroger stores, United Dairy Farmers and Dot’s Market.

To help each of you better understand some of rules and regulations of these stores, over the next few weeks, I will breakdown coupon policies for you.

Last week, we focused on Kroger. Today, we will focus on Cub Foods, with CVS Pharmacy, Meijer, Target and Walgreens to follow.

With locations in Trotwood, West Carrollton and Centerville, Cub Foods is a great grocery store chain to pick up some couponing bargains.

Before you go loading up your cart with deals, check out this quick breakdown of their coupon policy.

General Cub foods policy breakdown

They accept both manufacturer and printable (online) coupons. However they do not have a store loyalty card, so there are no store e-coupons available.

All store coupons are typically found in their weekly Sunday circular advertisement.

Competitor’s manufacturer coupons are accepted, but not competitors’ store coupons.

Stacking coupons is allowed. You are allowed to use a store coupon and a manufacturer coupon as long as neither coupon specifically states that you can only use one coupon per purchase or have other specified limitations.

The store will reimburse the amount on the coupon. They will not adjust the value of the coupon if it exceeds the value of the item.

There is no limit on how many coupons a customer can use per order unless it is stated with a limit or purchase requirement such as “only one manufacturer coupon per product purchase.”

Each store has the right to limit quantities purchased within reason.

For internet or printable coupons

Internet coupons from legitimate couponing sites are accepted.

Doubling coupons

Manufacturer coupons will double up to $1. So for a coupon valued at $0.35 it will double to $0.70.

For a coupon worth $0.50 it will double up to $1. For a coupon worth $0.75 it too will double to $1.

All manufacturer coupons will be doubled as long as the number of coupons used matches the number of products purchased.

This means you can’t buy three items and use four coupons. If you are buying three items you must use no more than three coupons.

Expired coupons

• Coupons are accepted as long as 30 days past their expiration date.
