John Legend’s baby ‘rocks’ clothes from Oregon District shop

John Legend made a surprise visit to the Oregon District Sunday evening with Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley to show support in the aftermath of the mass shooting Sunday, Aug. 4. John Legend did not leave the Oregon District empty-handed during his visit there Sunday, one week following the mass shooting.

The award-winning singer-songwriter picked up a few items from  shops in the district, including a romper his son Miles “rocks” in a photo posted to Instagram.

The Salon de Bebe cloud hoodie romper is $24  at Beck+ Call, located at 504 E. Fifth St. It comes in sizes 12 to 24 months.

Miles, Legend’s second child with TV personality Chrissy Teigen, is 1 year old.

A 24 year-old dressed in body armor used a semi-automatic pistol police say was modified to act like a rifle and killed nine people in the Oregon District early morning Sunday, Aug. 4.

Nearly 30 others were injured badly enough to require medical treatment. The gunman was killed by police.

Legend toured the Oregon District with Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley on Sunday, Aug. 11.

Besides Beck + Call, they made stops at Brim, Heart Mercantile and Puff Apothecary.

Legend and Whaley held a press conference about gun control before eating dinner at Corner Kitchen with a group that included members of Moms Demand Action.

Legend then gave a free private concert at Blind Bob’s for the families of victims, survivors, first responders and other impacted people.
