Need wedding stuff? Items being auctioned tonight

Budget-minded brides-to-be can help their bank accounts and a non-profit tonight.

The "Got Wedding Stuff" silent auction and party organized by Oakwood's Your Dream Day Cafe is scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. at Benjamin and Marian Schuster Center, 1 W. Second St. in downtown Dayton.

Admission is $10 at the door.

Your Dream Day Cafe owner Kathy Piech-Lukas says those using the special promo code ‘DDN’ for tickets purchased online will get $5 off the admission price.

Dresses, centerpieces, vases, wedding favors, frames, shoes, certificates and other wedding related items will be auctioned as part of the event benefiting the Lupus Foundation of America's Ohio Chapter.

Items up for grabs have been donated by brides and bridal businesses.

Lupus, an autoimmune disease, can damage various parts of the body.

Former WDTN reporter and anchor Dan Edwards will host the event that will include food and bridal vendors.

Edwards will leave the television station at year’s end.
