Men's state bowling tournament leaders as of Friday

Just three weeks remain in the Ohio State United States Bowling Congress Bowling Association Annual Championship. While thousands of competitors have tried to bowl their way onto the leader board, Dayton bowler William Brandon Newport still sits atop the singles handicap and actual divisions with 828.

The state tournament, which wraps up May 7-8 at Capri Lanes and Poelking Lanes South, will not be held during Easter weekend, April 23-24. In all, close to 6,500 bowlers will compete in this year’s state event.
