Church breaks ground on expansion, renovation

BEAVERCREEK — “We see our facilities as “tools” for ministry, not simply as attractive buildings,” says Dan Sietman, associate pastor of Patterson Park Church in Beavercreek.

On Sunday, June 27, the church officially broke ground for a multiphase expansion and renovation project. The finished facility will include an auditorium that will serve as dedicated worship space with seating for approximately 630. Other features include a choir rehearsal area, meeting room space, an expanded entry way and lobby, a full kitchen, and a full basement. The project is expected to be completed by summer of 2011. Phase 2 will begin in 2012 and will expand the church’s educational space with classrooms built in the current auditorium space.

HiFive Church Group is designing both phases and will manage construction.

The current facility was completed in 1992 when the church moved from Dayton to Beavercreek. The church will continue to hold services and events during construction.

Patterson Park Church is a non-denominational Christian church located on 3655 E. Patterson Road. Approximately 750 people attend services at the church each weekend.
