Dayton Daily News reader Pam Gregg of Xenia took this photo of a cicada in early July. She says, “Tis the (17-year) season! Came across this not-so-little guy while walking my dog in Xenia. He was chilling in a crack in a telephone pole at my eye level. Glad I stopped to grab the shot, because he was long gone when I returned.”
