The historic Hook Estate in Dayton boasts 12,000 square feet of living space. The mansion will be surrounded by much smaller houses during Dayton Dwell: A Celebration of Home.

The Old House Fair will combine with the Tiny House Jamboree and the 2015 Homearama Touring Edition for a wide range of living options from which to choose.

“I’ll be talking about the history of little digs. The Homearama itself is going to be very special this year, in that this year’s event will feature a number of communities and homes to suit any budget,” said Kent Griswold, who writes Tiny House Blog.

Dayton Dwell will feature live demonstrations and tours with home preservation seminars, a vendor showcase and the historic home and grounds of the Hook Estate. There will also be artisan demonstrations and an Old House Fair Olympics on Saturday.

The Tiny House Jamboree will include professional Tiny House builders, who will camp their homes at the Hook Estate and open their doors for tiny tours. Besides Griswold, experts Robin Hayes, Craig McHugh, Rose Sapriandi, Trevor Gay, and Nathan Bevil will speak about the pros and cons of living small.

The 2015 Homearama Touring Edition builders: Artisan Estate Homes, Beavercreek; CountyCorp/TesCon, Inc., Wright Dunbar Neighborhood; R.M. Clemens Co., Bellbrook; Daniel DeVol Custom Builder, Inc. and HBS Development, Country Brook, Warren County; Design Homes & Development, South Dayton; Ellis Custom Homes, LLC, Waynesville; and GA White Homes, Beavercreek.

Homearama also includes: Generations Construction, Callamere Farms, Huber Heights; M/M Construction, Brookville; Radian Custom Builders, Beavercreek; Charles Simms Development, Lifestyle Living, Centerville and Springboro; South Dayton Builders & Remodelers, Saddle Creek, Washington Twp.; TesCon, Inc., Lewisburg; and Zengel Construction, Miami Twp.

The events are supported by a partnership between the Home Builders Association of Dayton, the Tiny House Jamboree, Red Oak Productions and the City of Dayton.
