In fact, from the moment that Boyle, 23, found himself on that stage, he has only received positive feedback from judges Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, John Legend, and Kelly Clarkson, who saved him from being eliminated in a knockout round of the competition. In the last episode of the show that appeared on Nov. 12, it was revealed that Boyle would be sticking around to represent Team Kelly in the final 13.

Despite the high stakes of this televised competition, Boyle has seemingly handled the stress with ease, showcasing his impressive vocal range and musical prowess with ease. This supernatural ease with performing might be as a result from growing up in a musical family, where, as a freshman in high school, began singing as the lead in his school choir after an injury prevented him from playing sports. After high school, Boyle attended the University of Dayton and graduated with a degree in psychology.
Throughout his time in college and beyond, Boyle has never completely shelved his talent, releasing an EP entitled “Something to Hold” in 2018, available on Spotify and Apple Music. Boyle emulates the work of similarly talented solo artists like Ed Sheeran, Bon Iver, and John Mayer.
