The Dayton and Oakwood raised actor ate dinner at Roost Modern Italian, 524 E. 5th St. in Dayton’s Oregon District, following his show Sunday at the Schuster Center.

“He had the Asiago chicken Milanese, and he loved it,” Roost owner Dana Downs told this news organization.
Downs said that Lowe’s father and stepmother are friends and regulars at her restaurant.

Martin Sheen and other celebrities have dined at Roost, but the meal there was the first for Lowe, famous for roles on TV's "The West Wing" and "Parks and Recreation" and a list of movies that include "St. Elmo's Fire," "Behind the Candlelabra," "Wayne's World, "How to be a Latin Lover," and Francis Ford Coppola's big-screen adaptation of S. E. Hinton's "The Outsiders.

“We hope he comes back. He is a great representative of Dayton and he is a super nice guy, very talented,” Downs said.

Lowe was in Dayton to present his one-man show "Rob Lowe: Stories I only Tell My Friends: Live.
More than $7,500 was collected for the Greater Dayton Disaster Relief Fund before and after the show.

The Dayton Foundation has established the Greater Dayton Disaster Relief Fund to "allow the Foundation to quickly distribute disaster relief funds to charitable organizations that currently are working to help provide food, clothing and shelter for our friends and neighbors who are affected by these storms."

Lowe enjoyed pizza from Cassano’s and visited The Spot, a 112-year-old iconic eatery in Sidney once owned by his grandfather, during his stop in Dayton last weekend.
