Careflight called to crash after vehicle rolls over, lands in ditch in Miami County

One person was transported by Careflight and another was transported to a hospital after a vehicle flipped over and landed in a ditch. The crash occurred around intersection of state Route 41 and Martin Road in Newton Township, a few miles southeast of Covington, Miami County.

One vehicle reportedly crossed left of center, went off the roadway and flipped over before landing in a ditch.

Miami County officials said that three people were in the vehicle. The severity of any injuries was unavailable, however Miami County officials said that crash reconstruction responded to the scene.

The crash was first reported at 4:58 a.m., dispatchers said. The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the Miami County Sheriff’s office.
