Power has been restored to most Miami Valley residents

Power has returned to most Miami Valley residents after storms and heavy winds caused power outages for thousands on Friday and Saturday.

As of about 4:51 p.m., Montgomery County had about 3 outages remaining, according to AES Ohio’s outage map.

“Our support staff, line and vegetation crews are here for you working round the clock to restore power,” according to a Twitter post from AES on Saturday. “The forecast from the National Weather Service remains the same with wind gusts between 40-60 mph.”

The following areas remain without power, as reported by AES, Ohio Edison and Duke Energy:

Butler County: 1

Montgomery County: 3

Preble County: 4

Estimated restoration time varies by county.
