Pedestrian struck, killed on U.S. 35 Friday night

A pedestrian was struck and killed along U.S. Route 35 near the intersection of Trebein Road on Friday night, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

A 2018 Kia Sedona was traveling westbound in the right line when it struck a person walking in the roadway, the release said.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead on scene. No information was immediately available about possible charges for the driver.

The crash remains under investigation.
