Crash shuts down Union Road for about 15 hours in Englewood

Union Road between Gateway and Interstate 70 was closed for about 15 hours Saturday following a crash into a power pole and a damaged second pole in Englewood.

The crash happened around 2 a.m. at the 1200 block of Union Road, according to police. The road did not reopen for about 15 hours, according to a 5:30 p.m. update on Facebook from the Englewood Police Department.

It is unknown what led to the crash, police said. No injuries were reported, though police believe at least one person fled.

The AES Ohio online outage map shows no power outages for Montgomery County.

Police said crews have been working on the poles since the early morning.
