Woman critically injured in weekend stabbing in Dayton

One person is in custody after a woman was reportedly stabbed multiple times over the weekend in Dayton.

Crews were dispatched around 12:05 a.m. Saturday on reports of a stabbing at the 3900 block of Cornell Woods Drive, said Lt. Steven Bauer of the Dayton Police Department.

A woman found with multiple stab wounds was taken to a local hospital, where she is in critical condition, Bauer said.

A suspect is in custody but the Dayton Daily News is not naming him because formal charges have not been filed.

Dayton Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating this incident.
