In a series of tweets, the National Weather Service in Wilmington detailed these stretches, jokingly calling them the “Where is Winter?” series. It is a question many people in the area have asked, though others are just fine with the situation.
The NWS first tweeted on Wednesday that it had been 687 days since Cincinnati saw single-digit weather, which is the second-longest streak on record. The last day with single-digit temperatures was March 5, 2019.
Fun fact: It has been 687 days (March 5, 2019) since Cincinnati (CVG) has had a temperature in the single digits. This is the 2nd longest streak on record (711 days ending on January 21, 2013). Given the outlook through the next several weeks, the record may be in jeopardy.

The longest stretch ended Jan. 21, 2013, and was 711 days long.
As of this morning, if we go another 23 days, we will break that record.
Yesterday, the NWS tweeted that it had been exactly two years since there had been more than 2.5 inches of snow in Cincinnati, or 732 straight days. The last day with more than that was in 2019.
Tonight we continue our fun facts in a series we are calling "Where Is Winter?" It has now been 732 straight days (exactly 2 years ago today) without a daily snowfall greater than 2.5" at Cincinnati (KCVG). This is the 3rd longest such streak on record at the site (1st-798 days).

This is the third-longest streak of less snowfall on record. The NWS said the longest streak was 798 days long.
As of this morning, we would have to go 66 days with less than 2.5 inches of snow to break the record.
Back in December, the NWS also pointed out that it had been almost two years since our last Winter Weather Warning – 703 days as of Dec. 23, 2020.
