1 Arrested In Fatal Shooting

Dayton police have a suspect in custody in connection with a shooting that left one man dead.

Police said 46-year-old Michael Jordan, of Dayton, died at a hospital after being shot in the back early Sunday morning along Fountain Avenue in Dayton.

Police described the shooting as a drug deal that turned sour.

“He was over there with a friend, asked the four males, who are our suspects, if they could buy some marijuana,” said Lt. Brian Johns, with the Dayton Police Department.

Police said the four men beat Jordan and demanded cash. They said Jordan was shot as he turned to run from the scene.

Police arrested 33-year-old Adrian Robinson in connection with the shooting. Officers said Robinson pulled the trigger.

Police are still searching for the three other men witnesses saw at the scene. Anyone with information is asked to call (937) 333-COPS.
