Hundreds turned out in Columbus and Cincinnati on Monday evening to continue protests against President Trump's travel ban.

Hundreds gathered at the steps of Cincinnati City Hall and more than 1,000 met on the steps of the Ohio Statehouse before marching through that city's streets.

There were reports via Twitter on Monday night that police used pepper spray on marchers near the Statehouse.

The president on Jan. 28 signed an executive order on immigration that includes the suspension of immigration for people from seven countries: Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Yemen, Libya and Somalia.

Trump insists his actions are not a "Muslim ban" and said the U.S. will issue visas to all seven countries affected after a review of security policies.

Protests planned in Cleveland were rescheduled because of a lake effect snowstorm that hit the city overnight Sunday and into Monday morning.

Monday's demonstrations followed protests over the travel ban that erupted at several airports and in several cities Sunday -- including Dayton.
