Power being restored after outage in Miami Twp.

UPDATE @ 1 a.m.:

Power is being restored this morning after a large power outage was reported in Miami Township.

An online outage map from DP&L is showing less than 100 customers are currently without power.

Reports have also indicated that traffic lights are back to being operational in the affected areas.

A cause of the outage has not been identified by either the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Miami Township police, or DP&L.

Nearly 2,000 Dayton Power and Light customers are without power after a large outage has been reported around the Dayton Mall.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says they are not sure of a cause of the outage, but say they responded to a pole fire around 10 p.m. near Byers and Lyons roads in Miami Township.

Dispatchers for the sheriff’s office add outages were being reported around 11:45 p.m. but an exact cause was not known.
