Cambridge City, Ind., Rocked By Discovery Of Body

A small Indiana community was rocked at the news that a body was found in a wooded area late Monday night.

Sources told News Center 7 that the body of a young girl was found in Cambridge City, which is about 24 miles west of Richmond.

Authorities with the Indiana State Police and officers from Cambridge City spent much of Monday night and Tuesday investigating what they are calling a homicide.

The body was found in a wooded area on Fourth Street, which is located between South Jones and South Walnut streets.

At this time, authorities are not releasing much detail about this case. News Center 7 is still waiting to hear from the Wayne County prosecutor for the latest details.
