The Springfield Fire/Rescue Division used an aerial truck on the south side of the building to remove the worker from the top of the building. The worker suffered a head injury, according to Battalion Chief Matt Smith, but no other details were available.
The worker was taken by life squad to Springfield Regional Medical Center. A medical helicopter was called to transfer the worker to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
The construction is part of a project to renovate the school to house the Global Impact STEM Academy, Clark and the Career ConnectED Center.
