Investigators said troopers found a mangled, torn mess of metal and a semi truck with the hood nearly ripped off. The driver of the semi said he noticed the driver of the small car and said it was weaving around the roadway.
The Ohio State Patrol said the car struck the semi head on. Traffic was tied up for three miles while officials collected evidence and cleaned up the scene.
Authorities suspect the driver of the car was traveling southbound on Route 68 when for some reason, he crossed the center line and struck the semi.
Troopers said two people in the semi were not injured. The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
