Benjie Van Winkle, 42, originally was charged with 27 counts of rape. The Miami County grand jury indicted him recently on seven felony counts alleging rape of a child under age 13 and six counts of felony rape of a child under age 10.
Van Winkle pleaded not guilty during arraignment in Miami County Common Pleas Court. The indictments alleged the criminal activity began in March 2015.

A Troy man who was arraigned earlier this week on 26 counts of rape involving minors was arraigned on an additional count of rape this morning.
Benjie Van Winkle, 42, was arraigned on the charge in Miami County Municipal Court and a judge raised his original bond by $100,000, setting his total bond at $2.7 million.

A Troy man was arraigned this morning on 26 counts of rape in Miami County Municipal Court.
Benjie Van Winkle, 42, of Troy, was arraigned on the charges, which allegedly involved victims under the age of 18.
Van Winkle’s bond was set at $2.6 million.
The offenses are alleged to have occurred as far back as March 2015.
