Richard Eaton, 56, of Troy, was arrested Thursday and booked into the Miami County Jail pending charges of arson and breaking and entering.
Investigators said Eaton owned the car that was destroyed, but it appears the fire started in the SUV and spread to his vehicle. They said he confessed to starting the fire, but they have not yet determined his motive.
