Miamisburg police said Williams' girlfriend fell from a moving pickup truck around 2 a.m. Thursday. The woman, whose name was not released, was taken to the hospital with injuries believed to be serious, according to police.
People at the complex told police the couple's argument moved from inside their apartment to the parking lot, where Williams may have tried to force the woman into his truck. Police found the woman on the ground at the complex, where police evidence technicians remained on scene for about six hours Thursday.
Williams' green Chevrolet pickup truck was found in Trotwood, but Williams was not initially found despite a search involving officers from four police agencies, including a K-9 unit. At one point, Miamisburg police reached Williams by phone. He reportedly agreed to meet police to turn himself in, but he didn't show up.
Residents of the Miamisburg apartment complex say whether it's called felonious assault or domestic violence, it's simply wrong.
"Yes it is a problem, it's a problem when a man puts his hands on a woman," said Tessa Gentry.
Charges of kidnapping, a first-degree felony, and felonious assault, a second-degree felony, were filed against Williams on Thursday in Miamisburg Municipal Court, which also issued a warrant for Williams' arrest, online court records show.
Williams was arrested in the 100 block of Hanna Avenue by Trotwood officers and was booked at 8:17 p.m. Thursday into the Montgomery County Jail, online jail records show.
Williams, who has an extensive criminal record, jail and court records show, has another court date on the morning of August 14.
