The shop's owner told police that someone had smashed one of the building's windows and stolen at least $500 from the cash register, according to a Dayton Police Department incident report.
He estimated the break-in happened sometime after 6 p.m. Friday, when they closed.
An evidence crew was not called because the crime scene had been contaminated by the owner and his employees but officers will be reviewing surveillance footage of the incident.
The shop's owner told police he had never had a break-in happen in 17 years at the business.
