Child sex case plea gets Troy man 1 year in prison

A Troy man who pleaded to an aggravated assault charge, after he was accused of sexual contact with a child under age 10, has been sentenced to a year in prison.

Brian Clem, 56, originally was charged with 10 counts of gross sexual imposition accusing him of having contact with the child in Troy in 2014 and 2015.

He later pleaded no contest and was found guilty in Miami County Common Pleas Court to a charge of felony aggravated assault.

At sentencing the child’s parents said she has suffered nightmares and other anguish as a result of the incidents.
