Christmas gifts stolen by thieves in Clark County

Six vehicles had items stolen out of them at Northridge Apartments earlier this week, including one vehicle that was full of Christmas gifts for a Clark County family.

Deputies investigated the incidents in the 1500 block of Westmont Drive Sunday night into Monday morning.

Amber Lattimore, of Springfield, was one of the victims and said all of her children’s Christmas gifts that she had been storing in her trunk were stolen.

Lattimore said she lost about $350 worth of gifts to the thieves, who were captured on surveillance video at the complex.

Overall, deputies estimated about $1000 worth of merchandise was stolen during the thefts and each of the six vehicles were unlocked.

The apartment complex sent a memo to all of its tenants to remind them to keep their car doors locked in light of the recent crime.
