A 58-year-old Darke County man was jailed Friday following his indictment on an aggravated murder charge in his wife’s April strangulation.
Richard Michael Bowman was arrested at his Disher Road home in Mississinawa Twp., according to a news release from the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
Bowman’s wife, 60-year-old Teresa Bowman, was pronounced dead April 24 at their home. A forensic examination revealed her death was the result of strangulation, the release stated.
Richard Bowman’s indictment follows an investigation conducted by the county sheriff’s office and coroner’s office that led the county prosecutor’s office to present the case to a grand jury.
Bowman is being held without bond in the Darke County Jail awaiting arraignment.
