Dayton man found guilty in shooting death of Huber Heights teen

A Dayton man accused of shooting and killing a 19-year-old Huber Heights man was found guilty of all charges, including murder.

Levi Lambert, 21, was convicted of felonious assault, improperly discharging a firearm at or into a habitation and tampering with evidence, as well as murder, according to court records.

He is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 2.

On Aug. 5, 2018, Evan Lewis was found critically injured lying at the corner of Bellefontaine Road and Hilgeford Drive.

Lewis was taken to Miami Valley Hospital, where he died from injuries.

Lambert was arrested the same day as the shooting at the intersection of Powell Road and Jansin Place.

A competency evaluation was ordered for Lambert in September 2018, but he was found competent to stand trial.

Lambert’s trial started Nov. 5, with the case being handed over to the jury Nov. 8.
