Police: Infant in home where drugs seized, 4 arrested in Sidney

Four people were arrested in a drug raid Wednesday morning by the Sidney-Piqua Tactical Response Team.

Police seized marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia when they served a search warrant around 8 a.m. in the 300 block of North Main Avenue in Sidney, according to a release from the Sidney Police Department.

Also, a 6-month-old child was removed from the home and placed into the custody of Shelby County Children Services, police said.



Four people were arrested and booked at the Shelby County Jail:

  • Charlie R. Browning, 46, of Sidney, charged with felony drug possession
  • Catie Donson, 22, charged with drug abuse, a misdemeanor; she also had two unrelated outstanding warrants;
  • Kurtis K. Large, 22, drug abuse and endangering children, both misdemeanors;
  • Jessica N. Schlegel, 18, endangering children, a misdemeanor.

Additional charges are likely, police said.
