Taco Bell workers forced into freezer during armed robbery

Police tell us a lone gunman forced employees into a walk-in freezer during a robbery this morning at Taco Bell, 2674 Col. Glenn Hwy., in Fairborn.

No shots were fired and no one was injured, but the robber got away with an undetermined amount of cash, according to a release from Fairborn police.

The robber was described as a male wearing a jacket with a hoodie pulled over his head.

We’re working to find out if there are any connections to other recent robberies at local Taco Bell restaurants, including one Friday at a Taco Bell on Salem Avenue in Dayton.

Police in Fairborn are investigating a robbery this morning at Taco Bell, 2674 Col. Glenn Highway.

The robbery was reported shortly before 9 a.m. The unknown robber reportedly was armed with a handgun.

The restaurant is closed but it’s expected to reopen for the lunch crowd at noon, according to an employee who answered the phone.`
