The county drug task force was coordinating the search with federal agents.
No one was arrested or charged after the raid, Burke said.
Burke said the raid was the result of a two-year undercover investigation by several agencies.
Agents from the FBI, the Internal Revenue Service, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, the Dayton office of the Drug Enforcement Agency and the county drug task force were involved in the raid.
Burke, as well as Special Agent Mike Brooks, spokesman for the FBI’s Cincinnati office, declined to comment on what was being sought or what was found in the search, saying that the search warrant had been sealed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Cincinnati.
He also declined to say why they were investigating the lots.
In addition to seizing the vehicles, Burke said agents also confiscated paperwork and computers.
“We have a lot of documents to go through,” he said. “We didn’t find any drugs nor did we anticipate finding any drugs.”
According to Burke, two brothers own the dealerships, which have been in business for several years. He said both men were questioned, but no one has been charged.
In addition, agents raided a home in West Chester Twp., according to Local 12. Officials did not release the names of the men but said they are cooperating with the investigation.
“The investigation is ongoing and no charges are pending currently,” Burke said. “There’s still more work to be done.”
Today at the business on U.S. 22/3 in Deerfield Twp., an employee said the business was closed today and the owners were not there and had no comment.
The other business in Salem Twp. had its driveway blocked with vehicles.
