Franklin police arrest seven in drug bust

FRANKLIN — Police have arrested seven people as part of an “extensive drug investigation” this week.

Franklin police Chief Gordon Ellis announced the arrests tonight, July 2. Additional charges are pending investigation, Ellis said.

Those arrested were:

• Robert King, 25, of 251 Conover Drive in Franklin, charged with posession of drug abuse instruments, a first-degree misdemeanor. King was released on his own recognizance.

• Deante Lewis, 21, of 2432 Saybrook Drive in Middletown, arrested June 30 and charged with two counts of aggravated aggravated trafficking in cocain, a third-degree felony. He is being held in the Warren County Jail on $25,000 bond.

• Cynthia Lydic, 22, of 251 Conover Drive in Franklin, charged with posession of drug abuse instruments, a first-degree misdemeanor. She was released on her own recognizance.

• Tyrone Martin, 34, of 2011 Riverside Drive in Dayton, charged with aggravated trafficking in heroin, a second-degree felony. He was released July 1 from the Warren County Jail.

• Tanya Mundy, 30, of 4060 Inddings Court in Dayton, charged with complicity to aggravated trafficking in heroin, a second-degree felony. She was released June 30 from the Warren County Jail.

• Edward Robinson, 25, of 1511 Manchester Drive in Middletown, was arrested June 30 aggravated trafficking in cocaine, a third-degree felony. He is being held in the Warren County Jail on $25,000 bond.

• Stephen Sproat, 61, of 251 Conover Drive in Franklin, charged with possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony. He was released on his own recognizance.
